Dear Friends,
We didn't forget you! Honest! We've just returned (OK, we've been home nearly two weeks) from a wonderful tour in southern France that ended with a five-show six-day whirlwind around London. We got a little caught up in the prepartions for that and that's why you haven't heard from us in a while. We were joined by our friend Dan Seabolt, fiddler extraordinaire. We had a great time thanks to the wonderful friends we have made there who made it all possible. (You know who you are.) Here are a few photos, one from the first show of the tour in Montferrier, France and two from the last show of the tour at the King William IV Pub in Speen, UK.
Of course we did some sight seeing, too. There we are at Stonehenge and at Bodiam Castle.
We're really excited about the concerts we have coming up. You can see more detail and more into the future using the linked schedule below, but here's the nearer future in a nutshell. You can follow these links for more information, but be aware that some of these websites are not up to date:
October 11 -The Crazy Wisdom Tea Room in
Ann Arbor. Music at 8:30. We love playing here, so if you're anywhere near the area please come on in. We'd love to see you. It's a great bookstore and a great tea room. (Yeah, they have coffee and great snacks, too.)
November 8 -A Concert With Friends at the Fruenthal Theater in Muskegon. We'll join up with The Oat Bran Boys and
Tommy Foster to put on a show that will never be exactly repeated. We'll all have fun and raise some money for a good cause, all courtesy of Muskegon's
Mona Lake Productions.
November 29 -Christmas Joy Fest at Marilla Museum and Pioneer Place. This will be a great start for a real old fashioned country Christmas. Lots to do and see. Roving carolers, exhibits. It all starts at 4:00. Our concert time is TBA but it's won't be late, so come on out to the country and enjoy the whole event.
There's a lot more further down the road. We'll keep you up to date. You'll hear from us early next month -PROMISE.
Thanks,
Ruth and Max
