It's April 1, 2021, but we aren't fooling around.

It's April 1, 2021, but we aren't fooling around. We're just going to keep on doing what we do, getting our music out there as best we can whether in person or on-line.

First: Thanks to all of you who have shown up and supported us for our Saturday night live-streaming concerts. We plan to continue them until further notice on Saturday nights at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. They have kept us going and focused for more than a year now, and we so appreciate the financial and emotional support that the "Fan Family" has given us. Here's a link help you find them. https://www.facebook.com/RuthAndMaxBloomquistMusic/live_videos

Second: We have a very special on-line show coming up. On Wednesday, April 7, Virtual Dream Café is pleased to present Mark Dvorak, Ruth & Max Bloomquist, and Sue Fink in the round. This show takes place on Zoom, which is a platform that allows us to see and hear each other. “Doors open” 7:15 pm (CST), show begins 7:30pm, for 60-70 minutes. [Michigan: “Doors” 8:15 ET, show 8:30pm] It’s fun to interact with each other before and after the show, and see each other throughout... it’s like we’re all in the same room together, but virtually! Because “seats” are limited, we ask you to reserve your space PRIOR to the show here: https://vdcshowApr07.eventcombo.com/ Your generous donation goes entirely to the artists, and ensures that the Zoom show link is emailed to you prior to show-time. The show is NOT being recorded for later viewing, so we hope you can make it to the Virtual Dream Café!

Third:  We have more fun and special shows coming up. As we book more we'll put them on the schedule, but so far:

May 14. A private concert for residents of The Village at the Pines in Grand Haven, MI

June 27. An outdoor house concert near Albion, MI. (Please reach out if you'd like to attend, and we'll try to hook you up.)

July 23. A very special live-streamed concert for one of the most iconic folk music venues in the Mid-West, The Two Way Street Coffee House. Learn more about the venue here. https://twowaystreet.org  This concert will be streamed directly to the Two Way Street website as well as to their Facebook page and their YouTube channel. Chat will be available on Facebook.

August 20. The Log Cabin Stage in Kaleva, MI. 6:00 It's a lovely outdoor stage in a small park. Many listen from inside or just outside their vehicles parked around the perimeter. Or bring your chairs as social distancing is easily possible. We had a really good time there last year.

That's the news. If you have any ideas or suggestions for possible engagements for us, don't hesitate to reach out. You never know...

Stay well, everyone! Happy Spring!

Ruth and Max
