The air is getting nippy, but the sun is still warm and if you're like us you have lots to do at this time of year. We hope that you might include us in your plans sometime his Fall.
We're really excited about doing some traveling this month. We are playing two great venues in the Chicago area on the 17th and 18th,
Maple Street Chapel Folk Concerts and the
Lake County Folk Club. AND we'll be joined by our favorite travelling companions, John King and Dan Seabolt adding their usual instumental excitement. If you're in the area we'd love to see you, and please let your Chicago area friends know that we're coming. It also might be a good excuse for a little road trip. What d'ya think?
Then, the very next day, we share the stage with the Carl Webb Band for A Taste of Music, a benefit for Muskegon's Mission for Area People. MAP is a favorite cause of ours in our home town and we love Carl Webb's sound, so what's not to like? Oh, did we mention the food tasting from local restaurants and caterers? WOW! Call (231) 733-9672 for tickets.
AND...We're really looking forward to the annual gathering of the
Folk Alliance Region Mid-West. (FARM) We'll be seeing lots of old friends and making new ones along with showcasing, networking, jamming, discovering new music and artists, and just having fun. If you're going to be there please look us up and say HI.
That's about it for October, but we have some really fun shows on the calendar for November including Ruth's solo appearance opening for the great
Cheryl Wheeler at
Seven Steps Up in Spring Lake Michigan. If you haven't experienced a show at this renowned listing room, this is the one to start with. If you've never seen Cheryl Wheeler don't miss this opportunity.
