Grateful News

Hi!

It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us. We hope that you are staying healthy in these strange troubled times. We are OK and self isolating at home.

Our annual winter trip to Florida was both relaxing and successful. We are extremely grateful to all those who helped to make it possible by offering hospitality and lodging, finding and arranging for venues and presenting house concerts, and attending our shows. We thank you!

We got home from our annual “tour-cation” in Florida a week and a half ago, and as you can imagine the time has been a bit strange. We have been grocery shopping twice. Having been away from home for two months there were a few things that we needed. We walk around our neighborhood keeping distance from our neighbors. We spend time in our yard working a bit and watching the local wildlife including wild turkeys, deer, and a recently arrived pair of bluebirds.

We are doing our best to spend our indoor time wisely. Ruth is working on new songs and we are rehearsing them. We will also be getting back into our home studio to record them and a few others that have accumulated over time so that we can release a new album this year. Hopefully, there will be some previews and progress reports posted online as we go. The best way to keep up with these is via our Facebook Page @RuthAndMaxBloomquistMusic. We will do our best to make them available on our website and YouTube channels, too.

We would like very much to know how you would prefer to experience the final product. Do you still buy and use CDs? Download? Do you stream exclusively? Would you be interested in a USB drive containing music, photos, video, etc? Please do let us know. It would really help us in the planning stages. You could send us an email, contact us via our website contact page, or message us via FaceBook. Thanks.

PERFORMANCE:  We will be presenting a streaming video concert on Saturday March 28 at 8:00 PM in conjunction with our friends at Seven Steps Up. This will be available on our Facebook pages and our YouTube channels. Best place for more info and links to watch is here:

Our originally scheduled March 28 on-site concert at Seven Steps Up in Springlake, MI has been rescheduled, of course. New date is tentatively April 18. Living fairly close to the venue we can be flexible if another rescheduling becomes necessary. We’ll try to keep our schedule up to date on the website (ruthbloomquist.com)

Meanwhile, if you’d like us to come play in your town, please let us know where and whom to contact. We’ll make it happen if we can.

As always, know that we appreciate you. Please stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for being there.

Ruth and Max
