Dear Fan, The Thanksgiving turkey is mostly eaten and the leftovers are in the refrigerator and we feel more than grateful for the privilege of performing our music for folks like you. The next few weeks are always a lot of fun because our shows tend to be Holiday celebrations with everybody in a party mood. We've been practicing our Christmas music, especially Ruth's originals and Max's Yogi Yorgesson covers. Here's a link to a video we recorded in our living room of Ruth's song Glory Glory.
On to those Holiday season concerts. We have three. It starts up for us on November 29 in Copemish, MI. It's Christmas Joy Fest at the Marilla Museum and Pioneer Place. Christmas Joy Fest activities will include a fire circle with hot wassail, roving carolers, a special museum exibit -Remembering Christmas Past, and more. Activies begin at 4:00. Our one hour concert starts at 6:15.
Next is Christmas by Candle Light, December 3, at United Methodist Church of the Dunes in Grand Haven, MI. There will be punch at 6:30 followed by Christmas readings and music (us) at 7:00, ending up with a carol sing and fellowship.
December 14 is our Christmas Concert at the Historic Howmet Playhouse in Whitehall, MI. This event has been something of a tradition for the past few years and it's always fun. We'll be joined on stage by the usual special friends, and this year we'll also be treated to the music of local favorites Karin and Eric Smith. Tickets are available at the door or in advance at Whitehall City Hall. Bring in non-perishable food items for $1 off the ticket price. All food donations will be given to the White Lake Food Pantry.
