We've had snow at our house and one of us even put on x-country skis and took a tour of the yard and the woods in back. That snow has all melted now, but more is on the way. We think real winter may be on the way. Our main attraction this month is our holiday concert, Christmas With Ruth and Max & Friends, at the Howmet Playhouse in Whitehall, MI on Sunday December 15. 7:00. We'll certainly be playing some Christmas and other holday music with a few of our other favorites. We'll be joined by our favorite fiddler, Daniel Seabolt and several of his many talented students. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Whitelake Giving Tree, a charity that helps area families in need during the Christmas Season. We hope you'll come out and give us a hand with that. Tickets are on sale at the Whitehall City Hall, 405 E. Colby St. (231) 894-4048 or at the door. We hope that your Holiday Season, however and wherever you celebrate it, will be filled with love and laughter. Click the snowman picture for a video Christmas card from our home to yours . Stay warm. Ruth & Max
"What a show--great musicianship, great songs, and Ruth's voice just melts over the crowd like butter on a biscuit...delicious! Let's do it again!" Terry Grannis, Zellie's Opry House
"Turn Back A Page - Real songs with real emotions, great instrumental work, superb harmonies and one of the best female vocalists in the business (Ruth, of course!). This CD is pure listening pleasure."" Al Kniola, Host, The Back Porch, 88.1 WVPE Public Radio
"This band has a growing devoted following here in the Midwest, but the music I heard and the performance I saw are of a caliber that deserves to be seen on the best national stages!”" Phil Doolittle, Paint Creek Comfy Concerts
