September is here, and it's only a few days to the Equinox and the official beginning of autumn. The air feels wonderful here in Michigan "with a kiss of summer still upon the air." Our summer was busy, adventurous, and satisfying in, oh, so many ways thanks to friends like you.
Due to a change in our touring plans we aren't playing very much this month. We are taking the opportunity, however, to work a little bit each day on recording our next CD. For the first time we are attempting to record the entire project in our home studio. If you've heard us play in the last few months you may have heard some of the new songs. Others have yet to be revealed to anyone.
It's a challenge to add recording to all the things we usually do around home, but we are finding the rhythm. If all goes well, we will have the new CD available for you after the first of the year. One way that you can help us is to purchase one or more of our 5 existing CDs or download some or our music that you might not yet have. Any income will help to defray the costs of production, re-production, and packaging of the new project. The easiest way to do this is here at CDBaby or here also at CDBaby or download from iTunes or Amazon.
Of course, our favorite way to reach you is at a live show. Please check the schedule linked below and come see us as soon as you can.
Thanks, Ruth and Max
"What a show--great musicianship, great songs, and Ruth's voice just melts over the crowd like butter on a biscuit...delicious! Let's do it again!" Terry Grannis, Zellie's Opry House
"Turn Back A Page - Real songs with real emotions, great instrumental work, superb harmonies and one of the best female vocalists in the business (Ruth, of course!). This CD is pure listening pleasure."" Al Kniola, Host, The Back Porch, 88.1 WVPE Public Radio
"This band has a growing devoted following here in the Midwest, but the music I heard and the performance I saw are of a caliber that deserves to be seen on the best national stages!”" Phil Doolittle, Paint Creek Comfy Concerts
